The Bergeron Lab is currently seeking graduate students who wish to study genetic and environmental factors that control the development, maintenance, and initial function of central neural circuits for sensory processing in zebrafish. Contact us for more information, and please provide a statement of research interests and your CV including at least 3 references. We also consider undergraduate researchers on a rolling basis with strong interests in molecular biology and neuroscience who wish to pursue basic science and biomedical research in the future. July, 2018 - CONGRATS to SURE undergrad, Madison Riffe, for her best poster win in the neuroscience category at the WVU undergrad summer research symposium!!
July, 2018 - Lexie Schmidt is awarded appointment to the
Research Training Program in Behavioral and Biomedical Sciences (BBS) T32 - congrats!! Also, a herculean effort by grad student Becca Robich in hosting several WV high school students for the WVU HSTA biomed summer camp week - science fun and learning with zebrafish!
July, 2018 - Sadie hops over the pond to NL to speak at and co-organize a neurological disorders-focussed workshop  for the Zebrafish Disease Models Society annual meeting.
June, 2018 - Excited to attend and present our work at the International Zebrafish Conference, back in Madison, WI!  
May, 2018 - Graduation day for several of our first undergrad lab members, all onto do GREAT things!! Zoe Dobler is ECAS Outstanding Senior in Biology - well deserved!!
Apr, 2018 - Sadie co-organizes the 1st zebrafish workshop at WVU with the WVU HSC Office of Graduate Research and Education. Special thanks to all of our invited speakers and sponsors including the WVU Biology Department and WV-INBRE.
